microblogging

so many social networking sites, what's the purpose of them all? how can we live with so much social media and not go crazy? can't we all just get along.. somehow?

Twitter may have started it, but others may finish it. Microblogging is like like blogging, only smaller (because smaller is better!) We'll look at where Microblogging is headed, and what it means for the future of micro-publishing. Can we survive with one network? Should we have to? An open source, federated system works for everything else, why not Microblogging?
