3-D graphics with Blender
Posted October 3rd, 2008 by knellotronI can give a tutorial or discussion on Blender, the free 3-D modelling and animation program. I focus on using it for animation and video, but it's also useful for making models for games, image processing, video editing, design concepts, etc. www.blender.org
I also have "Big Buck Bunny," their creative-commons licensed short film on DVD, and I could give a tour through the assets for that. Or we could just watch it and make copies.
Databases - focus on Postgresql
Posted September 19th, 2008 by marc rassbachIf there is demonstrated interest there is a PostgreSQL Guru in Madison who might be convinced to come down. I plan on bribing him with gas money, but having a list of people who would attend would help.

As the Madison "PostgreSQL Guru" mentioned above, I'd be happy to discuss PostgreSQL (and any other database products which come up as interesting comparison points).
